Default Praying Steelers?

Does anyone know the story behind the defensebacks getting together and praying after every defensive series? It obviously helped, but i was just wandering why and what caused this?

I assume it is just a solidarity circle that looks like a pryaer circle - IMO praying for a better pass rush or for LeBeau to call the right blitz package is unlikely - if not I question if that is what prayer is supposed to achieve

Spirituality is present in many degrees.

You have the T.O.'s and the Vicks of the world expressing their 'convictions' (pun both intended and unintended) is less than savory ways.

And then you have the Polamalu's of the world in which this is no joking matter. Seriously.

And if praying on the sidelines means they are not outside a strip club at 3 AM then I welcome the field congregation.

Here's to having our prayers answered.

Praise God , They Have Knowlege and have been Shown Prayer to be Oh so effective if done correctly. Read Chapter of Mark, and Luke in the Bible for Instruction on Effective Prayer.

Preacher... why would they wait till after the game. They are Living/SPeaking to God every Moment they decide in the hearts to do so... They make a Play and no one is Hurt would be the obvious reason for the Circle...
I CAN ASSURE YOU they are not praying for a Win, or a Big play. Cause if they have read about prayer they would know what and how to Pray and be answered.

It's Amazing what God has Done for us, Prayer and him actually listening and Responding to it, its hard to Phathem, But From My Personal Expirence God Has Shown me Many things Through Prayer.

Im thinkin Alot of Our guys/ People in the world Feel the same way

If you read articles/interviews about Troy Polamalu, he prays after every play of the games. I have no problem with players praying during a game. Shows that they feel comfortable enough with one another to pray together. I think it shows great unity amongst our DB's.

I say whatever works.

Prayer is not only an appeal to a higher power, it can also be a means of personal mental focus, and as someone mentioned, solidarity with the people around you.

I think it can be very helpful.

What I like about it is even though it takes a BIG EGO (in a good way) and lot of self confidence to be an NFL player. They understand that there is something even larger than them and at times you need to thank or ask the almighty for his help in certain situations.
