Default Strength of competition

Compare our opponents combined win/loss stats with the 5-0 teams (NE, INDY, DALLAS). N.E's opponents win/loss total is 7-16, Dallas 6-18, and Indy 11-13. Ours is 11-13. What do these numbers mean? I have no freaking idea but they are numbers that seem to indicate we have faced tougher competition than N.E. and Dallas. The toughest on N.E. schedule has been San Diego(who came in neutered). Dallas has yet to face a team with an offense(I guess you could say the Giants but Dallas has no defense so who knows). Indy not N.E. has been the most impressive 5-0 team. The Steelers have been the most impressive "team".

I agree NE hasnt really faced any competition. Lets see how they do against Dallas next sunday. I am hoping for Dallas to kick their butt.. As for Indy, i think they have had tougher competition than NE.

First of all numbers don't lie. It is obvious that NE and Dallas have not really played anyone and if you want to point out that now the Giants and the Chargers are looking alot better now than when they played Dallas and NE that is fine but they are playing like completly different teams.

As far as saying the Steelers are the most impresive team so far is not even close to being right. They had a huge win against a good team yesterday but they still have a loss. The Colts are in my opinion the best team in the league and the most impresive not to mention they play in a tougher division than Pittsburgh and NE. Jacksonville and Tennessee are both playing pretty good ball right now and are definatly contenders for a wildcard spot. Also the Colts beat a decent Bucs team yesterday while being banged up themselves.

With all that being said the Steelers looked freakin' awsome yesterday and the secondary really stepped up and played like a playoff team and it was great to see them shutdown Alexander. And by the way a great game by Big Ben and the recievers. Wilson stepped up bigger than I would have thought he could.

Overall I seen a Steelers team that was focused on playing their game and not worried about what the other team was doing. It was a great way to respond to their first loss of the year. Denver better be ready.

This seems exactly like stuff i read on Cold Hard Football Facts. Even though they're major Pats fans AFAIK, they still have just said that the only thing we know about the Pats is that they are the most unproven team in the NFL. They're the only team who hasn't played a single team with a winning record.

Yep.

I would have to say Colts, Pats, then Steelers in the AFC.

i think the pats have more depth than anyone else, and that could mean a lot late in the season.

If Dallas owns the pats and we go in with only 1 maybe 2 losses I think we can take the game against the patsies as long as there are NO mistakes!

What I've enjoyed so far this season is how the schedule has worked out to incrementally test the Steelers.

The Browns were no competition, but the Bills had a little spark in them, Arizona is a better team than most think and gameplanned against us well, SF is also a gutsy team that gave us a little competition and Seattle was, at least before game time, considered a closely equal test and we passed that without any problem. I think physically we're able to compete against any team, regardless of their record. Where we could lose is in getting too ****y and starting to think we can win by just showing up. (Like Dallas almost did last night).

I think more and more people are agreeing with that assessment.

I would put it more Pat > Steelers > Colts. Regardless, the top three teams should be a majority vote, even if the order is not.
