Let's just say...there r some who very courteous & sportive, and some r just plain "mean". Romanowski (Broncos, then Raiders) was one we love to hate...!!!

Precisely.

If you do help someone up it should be after a sack or some other play where you just beat them. Helping someone up after they just whipped you is like saying " No problem dude, could you please keep whipping my ass all day?" Or " Good job man, that whipping you just put on me was a good one. Let me help you up out of respect ."

NOT Steeler football if you ask me.

I heard that a long, long time ago; that helping the other guy up prevented him from getting a little breather, and that's why they do it. Notice NO ONE from your own team EVER does it.

I don't think an extra 4 or 5 seconds is going to make a difference either way.

I wouldn't help anyone up. Think about it, it's typically the ball carrier that is helped to their feet as if they're the only freaking player that hit the turf.

Heck on any given play you'll see an average of 5 or 6 players hit the turf. Should someone go around and help them all to their feet? The whole concept is corny if you ask me. These guys are athletes, they're not your drunk buddy that busted his a$$ as you exited the bar.

i am against helping the other team up.

my pet peeve is when players start dancing around after routine plays. act like you have made a play before. don't dance around like a fruitcake.

here is another pet peeve(i have a lot of them). i hate seeing players smile when they make a horrible mistake like fumbling. kordell did that a lot and i just wanted to reach into the TV set and slap him upside his head.

What are they supposed to do? get mad? throw stuff around?

Watch Ben. he makes a mistake, he laughs about it... stupid me... and then goes out and plays again.

seems to me that a normal reaction to a mistake is disgust, not joy. a player happy/satisfied with mistakes is pathetic. i am glad lambert wasn't smiling when he or his teammates made mistakes.

but i guess smiling and clapping that you fumble is a lot better
