If USC wasn't so damn dominate, Fresno St would smack 'em around this week.
USC (and UCLA) like to duck and dodge Fresno. And here is why... Prestige to be lost and not gained. Recruitment of central california athletes among the best in the nation. Fresno St is a winning school and tough as nails. While I am all for USC (go Trojans!) I hate the fact that we try to avoid the Bulldogs (as do the Bruins) because we dont want to them to ellevate themselves to our status. What a terrible way to conduct your program... even though it is very smart when it comes down to the bottom line of prestige and recruitment. This also carries over into some other sports as well. |

And yes USC would NOT travel to Fresno St for a return date.
Same as UCLA. Both schools "knew" better. Safe = smart. ![]() They dont have as much to gain from the match-up as Fresno does. More worried about perception then most anything else. |
