The fake FG probably was the turning point. Honestly, there was no way that USF would be an acceptable foe in the BCS NC game no matter who their opponent would have been. They are Big East, and the Big East always seems to choke. USF came from nowhere, and I suspect the team is made up of talented players who have questionable academic/character backgrounds.
Congrats to their season, though.

Well, they are finding out what the Big Ten, Pac Ten, Big 12 and SEC (Sorry, can't count the ACC, since FSU was the only real team for years in that conference) have known for awhile: Good conferences beat each other up.
I'll retract my comment about USF's players characters if they pull together and win out. There is no doubt they have the talent to do so, but I have a feeling they will implode and lose more games.

Guess we will find out next week what kind of character they have. They have to travel to Connecticut.
They still have 2, maybe 3, tough games in front of them. I didn't think they would go undefeated, just a good run up to this point.
