I actually taped the game and on the replay you can see him looking at the ball...the light bulb comes on...and just as he starts to react as he is hit from behind.

Dont get me wrong..I think that he is a very good lineman...but on that play he looked like a sloth.

Casey is a 300 LB nosetackle that just came off of the DL with hamstring problems. He was going to lose that footrace.
You hit the nail right on the head moe. I think Lebeau must have overlooked Cutler's mobility somewhat and didn't game-plan accordingly until it was too late.

I did see the play but I missed part of and was distracted all game by a Bobcat. I'll leave my assumptions until after I hopefully get to watch the game again. I'm guessing NFL Network will replay this game.

well i would have too since cutler's longest run as a pro was only 11 yards, before that stupid 30 yard run he did last night.

Same here. I think Shanahan was expecting the Steelers to expect Cutler to stay in the pocket so he had him rolling out and throwing on the run.

Yep, I couldn't stop yelling when I saw his reaction time.

Offensive coordinators on NFL teams can not always figure out Coach LeBeau's schemes. I really, really doubt any of us can.

Really, this is something stranger then strange. I wish I had a youtube thing to post or something. It's hard to explain without the video, and it may have happened more than twice. The first time it looked like he dropped into coverage, which makes sense if it was zone blitz thing, although that's a little old school. The second time is the inexplicable one. I swear dude just got up out of his stance and stood there. The OL backed up into pass protection forming a pocket, which is what kind of isolated the move, since Hampton was pretty much standing alone in the middle of the field 5 yards from the nearest blocker, and I mean just standing there.
