What choice did we have? Our depth chart is vacant. Someone has to fill the roster spot. How fast we can rebuild is what I wonder.

One of the best offensive lineman coming in the NFL draft - Sam Baker - is pretty banged up too.

lol...thats why I said kind of miss Starks......But I do think Starks is a better run blocker then Colon.....They both stink in pass protection.....

I think Colon is fine and a vast improvement over Starks. The majority of the hurries and sacks on Ben this season have come from the interior, not the outside. Simmons is the main problem with the O-Line right now. The Steelers let Starks and Faneca walk and go O-Line next draft/free agency.

The real problem is that we're missing an awesome O-Line coach like Russ Grimm.

Grimm knew what he was doing when it came to the o-line. He turned 'Zona's Swiss Cheese of a line into something at least respectable.

from what i have read, kemo's problem is knowing the plays. in other words, he isn't the sharpest tool. but could he really be that much worse than simmons? simmons sucks in both pass and run protection. at least kemo will be better in the run department.

I agree...but keep in mind that Colon is versatile enough (and has the experience) to play guard....which means that we could take the best guard OR tackle left on the boards in the draft.
