I think Max has showed enough the last two weeks to be back in the starting lineup at RT......He has done a solid job at LT...I'm not a Max Starks fan either but he has impressed the last two weeks....Were I think Willie Colon has looked average to poor all season....So I hope Tomlin thinks about putting Starks back at RT....

I think Starks may have a future at LT. He mentioned he is left-handed, played LT and college, and I heard he lost about 20 pounds making him lighter and faster. I won't be completely sold until next week but if he plays well against New England I'd keep him at LT and move Smith to RT.

Well lets see how he performs against the Pats and Ravens to prove if he can be our starter because i don't think it will be easy for him to win it over Smith who is pretty solid at that position!

Max said in an interview last week that he is left-handed. I would imagine (as a lefty myself) that it would be naturally easier for a lefty to block on the left side of the line. Certainly your reaction to & strength against end rushes would be better.
Maybe left tackle is his more natual position. Just a thought.

He and the rest of the line did a good job last night. kudos---now keep it up!
your right.

Starks helps sack-free effort

Ben Roethlisberger, sacked 35 times this season, was not sacked in a game for the first time this season. The previous game he played without being sacked came Dec. 7, 2006, against Cleveland.

It came with Max Starks playing another good game at left tackle, where he made his second consecutive start for injured Marvel Smith.

"It's fun, a fun position, something I'm comfortable with," said Starks, who lost his two-year hold on the right tackle spot to Willie Colon in training camp. "I played it before in college and high school. It's a comfortable fit for me."

Hey.. I want to see him there for a while. But if we can recycle to that position... That will take even less pressure off of us.

19ward86, looking at most of your posts it seems like you just became a steelers' fan.

to answer your question about starks, just look at last year.

Sometimes I think Starks is a little too complacent. I wish he had a little more of a mean streak, like Colon.

Speaking of mean streaks, was anyone else shocked as I by Kendall Simmons getting into a shoving match on Sunday? It reminded me of an episode of the Simpson's where Lisa is driving away on a riding mower with Homer's roasted pig, and Marge is yelling, "Bart, Nooooo," at which point Bart responds, "Mom, I'm right here," and Marge says, "sorry ... force of habit."

Anyhow, when I saw the pushing I'm yelling at the TV, "Willie, Noooo," 'cause I figured it was Willie Colon. I don't like the penalty, but it is nice to seesome fire from Kendall.
