Watching the game on TV, we noticed that the Jags opening kick went OB, then they didn't kck a FG in the 1st (well within FG range), then the steelers kickoff in the 2nd quarter just stayed in bounds. I believe this was in the closed end of the stadium.
Anyone there, was it very windy? I can't recall which direction we were going in the OT session, but was kicking it on first down viable or was the wind just nasty? I think it would have been about a 43 yarder? |

the play calling at the end suggested cowher wanted to run it in for a td rather than pound out extra yardage with the bus and settle for a fg.

oh man the wind was silly at the game, it was pretty strong and was changing direction often, it was kinda strange for Heinz field.

jeff reed said it was the 3rd worst wind he could remember there.
this morning i was listening to d. reeves on sirius radio. he commented on maddox when he had him with the giants. he said the wind always gave him problems there. interesting too was that reeves said maddox has some of the smallest hands you would ever see on a football player and that probably hurt him also. maddox said the wind was worse than anything he saw in the meadowlands. |

yeah the wind was bad..just tried to compensate on that missed FG, it just sailed alittle wide right (his right) on him.. but as far as passing goes..wind wasnt a factor in the 3 interceptions.. Tommy was the factor !!!

yeah it was probably windy but it don't explain three ints and an unforced fumble.
