Looking at the two, I'd try to move Harrison inside and let Timmons roam the outside. His speed can help cover the flats or given him a better push to the QB - but those are just my thoughts.

Is it just me, or has anybody notice Timmons on special teams? This guy is always around the football....I think he could be something special for us at LB

Yeah, true that. Timmons would be a great MLB, at least better than Harrison.

timmons is athletic enough that he can be a patrick willlis type of player in a 3-4 or a brian urlacher in a 4-3 (basically move timmons to ILB!)

Harrison actually learned the back up role for all the linebacker positions. That's why he's been on the team so long, he was able to back up everyone. I'm pretty sure he actually had played inside for us before in a game or two. He's better, and is more comfortable on the outside. Timmons is a more natural inside linebacker.

Timmons has been working a little bit on the inside already. You won't see him in a game this season on the inside but he has been getting some reps there

i think timmons speed will be a huge asset as an Inside LB....he could be versatile enough in pass coverage to cover TE or most slot WRs in the league....he played at DB during preseason....hopefully the coaches can find a way to use his explosiveness....he has shown a decent amount of that on STs this year

I just hope that isnt all he brings to the table.....

Timmons potential + Footes age and frugal contract + Farriors age and contract =
As much as I hate to say it cuz I think he still has a lot left in the tank....Potsy might have only a few games left as a Steeler (anyone know Farriors contract situation?)
