Default 3 Keys to Playoff Success

What do you think are the key areas that will help us be successful in the playoffs? The areas of concern for me and things that scare me the most are:

1. Turnstile Tackles. Our OT's seem to be on skates every time they get into pass pro. Running the ball more and throwing off play action will help those guys out some, but when we go 5 Wide, there's no hiding.

2. 3rd Down (both offensively and defensively). I think we've been in 3rd and long a lot this season, and it could be mainly from my first concern above. It appears that the offensive scheme right now it trying to take away some of the former 'predictability' and number of people in the box, but wasn't it great when a defense stacked the box and still got 3 helpings of running back for a first down? Defensively, we've got to get off the field on 3rd down. QB's have way too much time to survey. The down 3 aren't getting much of a push, LB blitzes are looking very similar, and tackling has got to get better. We've made some mediocre QB's look like All-Pros by not getting to the QB.

3. Coverage on Special Teams. How many times have you held your breath this season when we've kicked off or punted? I know I almost passed out last night from oxygen deprivation. Everyone is flying to the ball, which is great, but everyone has a lane. Stay in your lanes, funnel the returner, and make the tackle. We've missed too many tackles and given up good field position a lot lately. We're going to lose Najeh on special teams, but hopefully we've got a good back up. I was really surprised to see him still in there last night with Willie down.

Well, these are my thoughts. I'm sure yours will differ, but it will be interesting to see what everyone's keys to success are.

1. OL
2. Suddenly not so good defense
3. ST

In that order, Baltimore won a SB with a great defense, so we need that back!

My #1 key to playoff success is a win in Baltimore next week.

Ben Roethlisberger gets sacked SO much, OL should be first, but New England's Defense is average, they are just overrated. Indy, San Diego, Jacksonville, and the Steelers all have better defenses, the Browns are the only ones with worse defense
