The Steelers' opponents for next season have been set. In addition to six games (home and away) against the three other teams in the AFC North, the Steelers will play the Colts, Cowboys, Chargers, Giants and Texans at Heinz Field. They will play the Patriots, Jaguars, Eagles, Titans and Redskins on the road.

6 afc north division games + 8 games vs playoff teams (assuming titans and washington win this weekend) = brutal!!!!
im willing to bet all 1,295,763 of my bengalbucks that, on paper, the steelers will have the toughest schedule next year. which means the patriots probably face the 2 suckiest divisions in football next year (other than their own, of course)... the afc west and nfc west. dont know, just a hunch

This tells me the Steelers need to tighten up in the off season. Make some trades, stiffen up our O Line, S teams, draft, etc. Thats as tough a schedule as I've seen. Of course, it is a whole nother season. If we look back at the start of this season and look at the power rankings by the so called experts, there has been some serious gaffs. More on that later. I'm with Borski, We have other concerns like this seasons post to deal with.
Great post and gracias. Surf |

I've learned from years past that a schedule is never as tough as it initially appears to be. A lot of things happen in the off-season and injuries will take the bite out of some of the opponents.
During this past summer it was said that the Steelers last 4 games this year were going to be brutal. As it turned out 2 of the games were but the final 2 are absolute patsies. |

Come around next year some of the teams that made the playoffs arent going to be any good.
Unlike the NBA and MLB not the same teams every year are the ones making the playoffs

That is a pretty ominous looking schedule as it stands right now, but as was mentioned above, a lot of things can happen between now and then. I think for right now, I'm just going to focus on the season at hand and getting through the playoffs.
Thanks for the info IWTH.

I know I'm sick of playing the Jags every season, you'd think they're still in our division.
