Steelers' Roethlisberger named player of the week
Thursday, December 27, 2007 By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Ben Roethlisberger, who threw three touchdowns and had a perfect passer rating in a 41-24 Steelers victory against the St. Louis Rams, was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL has announced. Roethlisberger, who is headed to the Pro Bowl, completed 16 of 20 passes for 261 yards and no interceptions against the Rams. Yet, we hear how Romo is a top 4 qb with Manning, Favre, and Brady, and Ben is left out of the top 4 in all the talking head's "lists".
Seriously...No Respect for the Steelers. |

Brandon Jacobs carried the ball 24 times for 145 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Giants? 38 ? 21 win over the Buffalo Bills. Roethlisberger and Jacobs were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories. The other FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists were quarterbacks PEYTON MANNING of the Indianapolis Colts and KURT WARNER of the Arizona Cardinals, while running backs LAURENCE MARONEY of the New England Patriots and KENNY WATSON of the Cincinnati Bengals were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. Fans voted for more than their favorite players. The weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are also a win for the local community.
