Ben's previous two playoff games. the first being a Super Bowl performance rating as the worst ever.

The stat I found interesting was the 5-1 record I believe he had going in to tonight's playoff game, 4 of the wins coming in the 05 campaign, the other coming in the div. playoff game prior to the loss to the Pats in the '04 championship game. To me, it shows how much potential there is when motivation and momentum is on your side:

'04 - Winning 14 games in a row as a rookie.
'05 - Used loss in Championship game to motivate himself and team to get Jerome to his first Super Bowl and in his hometown. They not only won on the road in the playoffs to become the first 6th seed to win a SB, but did they not also win out the season (5 or 6 games?)

Now that he is 5-2, it very easily could have been 6-1 moving into next week as I feel he got motivated after halftime knowing his performance could have been ebtter int he first half. Regardless, he has matured greatly this year and will have even more remarkable stats in post season as year's go on.

he's got all offseason now to think about his 4 turnovers. hopefully that motivates him to do even better than what he did this season.

2 were his. One was a great play on defense...that happens once ina while. The fumble was our great o line again.

I am not sure how much better a season Ben can have. He played excellent this year.

I would prefer the SAME level from him, and better play from the line and D.

well put... i think with another year under his belt and an entire offseason to work with santonio,heath and hines he will be elevate to the tombrady peyton manning echleon...

Sadly, I think we are starting to see the end of Ward.

At his age coming into next year, he will start becoming limited to a slot receiver. I wish we had the ability to spend a 1st round draft pick on a receiver for Ben.

Exactly. He had a fantastic year, especially considering this is his rebound year. A number of players need a rebound year after having knee surgeries and what not, and still do not perform at a high level the following year. Ben had the motorcycle accident AND an appendectomy last season (being launched into a windshield AND being cut open to remove your appendix, only to be thrown right back into the mix of things in a VERY short time - against Jacksonville may I add) and look at how well he performed, amongst the best in the league, just behind Peyton and Brady in the AFC. He has set the bar for consistency - sake when it comes to performing on a promising base.

This time next year he will be at the top of his game, and these multi-interception games will be behind him, with us looking at them as just flukes in his learning experience.

This is one I don't really want to agree with but it is so true.
