i read an article on another site about hudson houck as a good replacment for the steelers current O-line coordinator. he was let go by the dolphins for political reason, not inability. he was hired by the dolphins' saban from the chargers. when saban left the new coach wanted his people only. which meant bye-bye houck.
here is a small portion of the article below... Houck has experience: he was with the Los Angeles Rams for nine seasons (1983-1991), and five Rams offensive linemen combined for 21 Pro Bowl appearances over that time. After a brief stop in Seattle, he spent the next nine seasons in Dallas (1993-2001) presiding over arguably one of the most dominant offensive lines in NFL history. after dallas he went to san diego where he improved their line also. |

hopefully the current O-line coach is fired and houck is at least considered as a possible replacement. the steelers need a more consistent O-line.

That would be a good start for our off season start with a coach then get some offense in the draft.

"Hudson Houck"? Isn't that the 1991 masterpiece of cinema starring Bruce Willis, Danny Aiello and Andie McDowell with guest shots by Sly's brother and that ginger dude from NYPD Blue?
OK, worst part is, I looked it up. Well, maybe second worst part. Worst part is the tagline listed on IMDb.com: "Catch the excitement. Catch the laughter. Catch the Hawk." And who could forget the chemistry! [Houck saves Andie from a pillar] Anna: That was bold of you. You didn't have to do that. Houck: It was nothing. Anyone would have done the same thing. Anna: No, I mean you didn't have to tackle me and rip my dress. OK, that was pretty good, but what a crapper of a movie.

MMMM HUdson Houck maybe a good replacement, however, the O-Line had continuity problems which might not be the coaches falt, in addition no amount of coaching could make Mahan any better, he was horrible all season.

Huh?I think that our offensive line definitely needs some help whether it be the coach or new linemen. Mahan Did Not Do The Job and He Must Be Replaced in My Mind. |

If Houck wans to be this team's Offensive Lines coach than he is going to have to start sending out pornographic e-mails to the entire league
