Before Posting A New Thread.....Please

Check to see if a thread has already been started on the topic you are referencing. This can be accomplished via manually scrolling down the forum or performing a "Search", which is relatively simple to do. The "Search" prompt is located on the site toolbar above.

Traffic is rapidly increasing on the site with camp and the season right around the bend. The Steelers forum is the most active forum and we would appreciate topics on the same subject matter being kept to one thread so as not to clog up the forum.

Just a friendly reminder to all members that if there is already an existing thread on the subject in which you want to post news relating to that topic, PLEASE post the same in the existing thread. I have merged several threads today which related to the same subject matter. Whoever posts the original topic first will remain the author of the thread.

When creating a thread, please think about where it should go.

-All smack threads go in the Blast Furnace
-Anything NFL related that doesn't have to do with the Steelers goes in the NFL section
-Videos and other media items go in the media section
-Off topic posts go in the Locker room

I know you guys are all excited, I am too...but the Steelers section is for straight up Steelers news and discussion only. Everything else will be moved.

Make sure to do a search if you are posting on a hot topic as well, as to avoid double posting.

Also, when posting a news article, make sure to provide a link to your article.

i would say Pete, SCM, and I have been fairly lenient and maybe even too lax in regards to this subject, but I agree that we need to tighten the screws a bit.

for instance we had about a dozen patriot threads started in the steeler main forum that were and are completely moot.

we can expect alot of visitors and new members in the next week or so, so ALL of our main goal (regular members included) should be to make steelersfever as streamlined, clutter free, and enjoyable for EVERYBODY.

if a thread is moved, locked down, or combined with another, please dont take it as a slight or punishment. its nothing personal. we just wanna maintain this site as the flagship for all steelers boards out there.
