I hate to see him go, but that is too much money to pay for a guard.

im excited for him not to be here next year because i think our line is seperating from being part of the team, there are plenty of rumors about our line and i think guys like alan faneca and marvel smith split up the line from the team because of their skill level. that is just me, i am not going off any facts....just how i feel, i would like to see 5 no name guys with great skill just no big names as our line.

I came to grips with this the moment Faneca opened his mouth last Spring. I've been gotten over it since then.

The reality is that that you root for the Steeler uniform. Hopefully you can fill the uniforms with quality men of great integrity. The Steelers have done that through the years. GO STEELERS!!!!! (find a Joe Thomas in the 2008 draft).

To follow along with the whole letting players go thing. Does anybody besides me still miss Chris Hope at safety? I think him and Troy side by side was awesome. He probably could have made a big difference this year.

yep, and the steelers don't owe faneca anything either. faneca was showing his age the past two seasons. time for new blood

Mark my words...

And I keep saying this.

This time next year, we will be wondering why everyone was worried about Faneca being gone. He has not been the same player this year. He will get a big contract on reputation... same way Porter and Bell did.

Here is a hint to the league... if the Rooneys let a over 30 player go... chances are... DONT PICK HIM UP.
