ben is probably ranked too low since he actually won the game.. although there is no debating he played poorly in it. o'donnell's performance will always remain a mystery. theres the belief that he flat out sucked.. theres the belief that his receivers ran the wrong routes.. theres even belief he got payed off. no matter what, 3 picks cost us the game.

everyone has heard how big ben has the lowest passer rating of any winning qb in a superbowl. haters actually use this as a slam and a negative against ben. much like they do today with j. unitas (note: sarcasm)

Quote:
76. Johnny Unitas, Colts, Super Bowl V (1971)

Stats: 3-9, 88 yards, 0 TD, 2 interceptions in 16-13 win over Cowboys.
Unitas is the lowest-ranked winning quarterback on our list. Not only did he struggle when he was in the game, he left the game in the first half with an injury and was replaced by Earl Morrall.

A numerical gloss on subjective opinions - Staubach ranks #11 for "nearly bringing the Cowboys back" in SB XIII - Steelers up 35-17 with 6 minutes to go and 2 late Dallas TDs in garbage time - yeah that's an epic performance

I agree 100% my friend. I think that Ben might be a little low on that list, but I think that O'Donnell made a pretty nice check from the Cowboys for that game. That game is supposed to air on February 1st on NFL Network.

i personally think since young's yards and TDs were more than Montana's he should've gotten the nod at the top spot

Okay...so Young throws for more yards and breask Montana's pass TD record...but still gets second billing? Doesn't make much sense to me.

And I don't see how you rank Ben below Boomer Esiason, Rex Grossman, and Chris Chandler...especially when all three of them came out on the losing end.

I agree with you, to make that number 11 was a joke. Those last two touchdowns were more window dressing than anything and in no way were an accurate reflection of Roger's overall game that day.

The best performance in a losing effort by far was Jake Delhomme . He kept a largely overmatched team in a game right until they end.
