Unless our run defense and pass blocking improves, we will not improve upon last years record. If all stays the same with our team against that schedule, we will be anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7.

The Steelers have age creeping in and holes all over the OL and DL. That's not a recipe for success.

yeah no doubt !!! i'm not sure what some of you are thinking with these 12 win predictions, because as of right now, the schedule is WAY more difficult than last years which resulted in 6 loses. then when you factor in losing the best olineman on the roster, which by the way, was pretty freakin bad, you, also have to take into consideration, they'll be facing the better D's in the league. it's hard to imagine it's gonna get better, before it gets worse. unless the steelers bring in a quality free agent, and draft some rookies that can have an IMMEDIATE impact, and lebeau devises some new offense confusing schemes, we won't be winning 10 games.

I love their optimism but I have to agree with you. Tough assignment next season.
We could well win the division with a 8-8 record.

Some good teams are going to beat each other up next year. We might see a lot of good teams with only 8, 9 or 10 win seasons. MIght be the year of parity next year to make up for this ridiculous circus of a season revolving around the AFC east.

Yeah our schedule is nuts.. we have, if I'm not mistaken, like every single playoff team, since we play the NFC East, and the AFC South, which both had 3 playoff teams.

This year they have no way they can play down to the competition because it's tougher, so they'll have to play up.

Good point Aussie
I think that with the team that we have right now and the way it played at the end of the year we wouldnt finish with that good of a record in my opinion. We would be lucky to win 6 or 7 games. Our O line pretty much stunk up the league this past season, and next year we face a schedule that gives us 1 game each, home and away that Didnt make the play-offs, the rest of the schedule on each side except for our division teams like Baltimore Cleveland and Cincinnati made the playoffs.
