Well...
For those of you that are still debating what Jesus looked like... Popular mechanics put together a composite of the early first century Jew.  I have a couple small issues with this picture.... but nothing big. The skin, in my opinion, is probably still too smooth. Jesus spent MANY days, months and years in the sun... in the middle east sun. So you could imagine he is probably a little more leathery... . You also have him looking a little thick. Scripture says he wasn't anything to look at, which means he probably didn't physically show a strength. I would imagine him being bit smaller bone structure--just enough for people to think him (in the mideast context) as a none-threat... a person that can get lost in a crowd of 1. |
