Our new ride.....
My wife and I purchased a motorcycle this afternoon. It is a 2006 Suzuki C50T.
 Larger Picture It was a tad chilly on the ride home but I didn't care. I was thrilled to be back in the saddle. I'll get some real pictures posted in the next few days. It's too dark right now for good ones.

Thanks guys. :) I can't wait for the warmer weather. Still That half hour ride in 45 degree air wasn't bad at all. Just layer up and you're good to go. :)

So what made you go for the Suzuki? My buddy is pushing me hard on Triumph and my Uncle in law was actually in the photo on the cover of the 2004 Harley Davidson guide, so you know he's a Harley guy. I may take the plunge in the next couple of years.

I believe that when you buy a Harley you're paying an additional $1000 or more just to have the name Harley Davidson on the tank than you would for a comparable Japanese bike.
I like nice riding cruiser style bikes. I test rode quite a few bikes and the one that we( my wife and I) kept going back to was the Suzuki. It sits nice and low. My wife, who is 5' 3", can sit on the seat and firmly get both feet flat on the ground. She will be riding it too. I found it to be very comfortable as well. The "T" model came with all the accessories we wanted. On most other bikes we'd have had to add them at a cost of about $600+. It's got an 805 cc engine. It's got plenty of grunt for cruising the highway and yet is light enough to toss it around the corners pretty good. The footboards and gear controls are awesome. How did I ever ride without them!? LOL!

One other thing... This bike will be ridden mostly by me this year. My wife is going to take a refresher motorcycle safety course. She has her license but hasn't ridden in about a decade. This bike is going to be hers. Next year we'll get me a slightly bigger one. Possibly a Yamaha V-Star 1100 or a Suzuki C90.
