Default Break-out Year Running Backs

These guys were supposed to have break-out years with their new/existing teams. Who do you think has made the biggest impact to their team through Week 7?

This is a bit harder than I thought when I made this poll... Parker had some great games to start the year then tailed off. Maghee has also been great but the impact to his team's W/L is minimal. LaMont Jordan is a fantasy football dream for me (got him in the fourth round and he's one of my highest scorers) and has been pretty consistent even with sharing some situational duties with Zack Crockett. I said Steven Jackson just mainly because I've been following his performances more closely (since he's on my fantasy team) and even with Faulk still getting some touches, Jackson makes an impact on a team that still uses the pass as a primary weapon.

If I had to vote for one of the options it would have to be Willis Mcgahee in Buffalo as he has performed the most consistently with the least amount of help from any sort of passing game.

Willie Parker has 65 rushes for 403 yards - 6.2ypc against 3 teams I would consider to have relatively poor run D.

Against 3 teams that have (or had) good run D his stats are 48 rushes for 136 yards - 2.83 ypc

Until Willie shows me something against a capable run D I wont consider his year a 'breakout' - however he is still inexperienced and can only improve with time.

If I had my choice from all the RB's in the league for a 'breakout year' it would have been Cadillac Williams - his worth to the team is clearly demonstrated by the Tampa offensive displays without him in the backfield.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

virtually nothing was expected of willie. he, in the truest sense of the word, has broke out. sure, he struggled against some strong defenses but so has ladainian. i too have been following lamont. picked him up in the 4th round as a back-up to the stiff jamal lewis and "coach wont let me play" dillon. the best may be yet to come.

Steven Jackson - 480 rushing yards, 113 attempts, 4.2 Yards Per Carry, 6 touchdowns

Lamont Jordan - 432 rushing yards, 115 attempts, 3.8 Yards Per Carry, 7 Touchdowns

Willis McGahee - 604 rushing yards, 138 attempts, 4.4 Yards Per Carry, 4 Touchdowns

Willie Parker - 539 rushing yards, 113 attempts, 4.8 Yards Per Carry, 3 Touchdowns

I want someone who can run good against good Defenses not just dominate crappy ones. To me theyre not having a break out season when they face someone worth a damn and get shut down. I would have to go with Willis McGahee even though I accidentally voted for Jackson.

It was easy to vote for Willie. During his first few games he was carrying the load by himself. his number only started going down when Jerome came back to help out. I like seeing them alternating during the game.

Willis or Willie here. I took Willie because he came out of nowhere to everyone outside of Pittsburgh. I picked him up before Week 1 for my fantasy team. I'm in first place... any correllation?

Jordan has been spotty..although does have good stats. One game he's awesome, and the next he's just above average.. I'd say Willis because Buffalo doesnt have much else but him for offense.

But an honorable mention goes to Willie. The guy gives it his all and he may not be the most experienced but he's shown he's something special and only going to get better.

It's a tough choice !!
