Russ Grimm needs to whip these guys into shape.. earlier in the year it was Simmons and Starks who were having the main issues, but now it seems that there is letdowns on any given play just about any of them.

Marvel has been pretty stout in protection though, I'll give him that but we just arent picking up the blitzers as well.

ben is as tough as they come..wearing a brace sux and it definately hinders him especially w/ roll outs and scrambles so lets hope he's not wearing it all year.

Ben Roethlisberger sat out Nov. 2's practice with a right knee injury and is listed as questionable for the game in Green Bay.

He said he feels better than he did three weeks ago after a sustaining a left knee injury during a Monday night game.

"I was on crutches, so obviously I was a little bit worse," the Steelers quarterback said. "It's just a little sore thing, but we'll get better."

Roethlisberger declined comment about the results of an MRI examination. He referred "knee questions" to coach Bill Cowher, who didn't talk to reporters, but said on Nov. 1 that the initial diagnosis was a strain.

Roethlisberger said he wants to play, but "obviously the final decision comes from coach Cowher. I'm going to give him my opinion; the doctors will give him their opinion and he's going to have the final say."

i dasagree
Look at the all the time that Anthony Wright had to drop back and throw the ball.
Ben did not get that kind of protection.
Our offensive line is one of the very best every year.
And this year they look to be below average..
Even Alan F. has looked shitty in a few games.
They need to get it together or ben is gonna miss a few games this year.

the ravens kept t. heap in to max protect for a. wright. the steelers couldve done the same with h. miller but then we wouldnt see the 2 td's fans have been calling for. heath being out there catchin passes comes at a cost of extra protection for ben. up to this point it seems alot of people would like to see him more in the passing game. i dont wanna see him put up 145 yds like a. gates. h. ward, c. wilson and el are getting paid to do that. as valuable heath is in the field, hes just as valuable on the line.

Baltimore sold out to the run. Having that many around the line, injuries will happen. But I guess it wasn't even a person. He caught a cleat. I must say that I like Ben having all that natural padding. If he was a McNabb ripped, not sure he could handle the cold.

McNabb seems to handle the cold better than any QB, he is sleeveless more than the linemen

I don't think I'd call him injury prone ... he stayed pretty healthy all last year. I'd chalk it up to a bit of bad luck this year, that's all. I think the important thing is that he is a tough guy --- wanting to play through injuries and be there for the team.

Here we go.

i think its more bad luck, and hell, he had to get used to the speed of the game on the fly! and hes tuff as nails. ward and jerome are wearing off on him.
