Default Best of What's left On FA List for Steelers

WR Bryant Johnson Cardinals: still out there, which leads me to believe he is asking toooo much $$$

WR DJ Hackett Seahawks: still there but injuries last year probably will have him sign back wit SeaChickens

LT: there ain't shizznit!!! Here we need a stud if Smith's back problems persist

G Stephen Peterman Lions: he replaced Damian Woodey last year and did a great job. Even though I think we are going to take Albert in round 1, he is a viable and young option....

G Keydrick Vincent Cardinals: nah just kidding....

C: Bubbkiss... Nadda... Chris Myers will most likely re-sign with the Broncos. We have to draft another STUD!

DE: any player that would fit our need is gone. possibly draft here(Dre Moore)

DT: There are several out there that could spell Casey from time to time, but they won't be cheap. Another draft spot possibly

ILB: absolutely nothing.... a barren wasteland

CB Fernando Bryant Lions: even at 31, if he comes at a price cut, a servicable player. Even Colclough got $4million from the Panthers!?!?!

CB Domonique Foxworth(RFA)Broncos: young and talented. I'd love for him to be in SteelTown.

S Terrance Holt Cardinals: I thought he had a good season last year and can't fgure out why he was let go....

i loved bryant johnson in arizona, they say he didnt live up to the 1st round hype even though he played better last year than many starters around the league, i believe if he gets the chance he can be a #1 probowl guy, titans should pick him up with all the cap they have.

I hope this Max Starks thing is over soon so we can get some cap room.

I for one would like to see Musa Smith in the backfield instead of Carey Davis.

Musa might be a good pick up El' Gonzo.
I just think that I read something where if Max Starks does not get a longer contract offer from someone else that the Steelers can match then the Steelers will take their offer back from Starks and that will make him a free agent again. Sounds cruel, but it is the truth.

If he doesnt get any decent offers, they will try to get his agent to propose a contract and pull the tag.

The big thing in negotiating is to never be the first to make an offer. It then gives the other side a chance to counter....so Starks hasnt said what he wants and the Steelers havent put out an offer.

Obviously nobody wants to give up the pick to get him, so the offer will be pulled. Then he may get an offer from somebody and can sign it or take it back to the Steelers as a starting point.

The longer he stays tagged, the less $$ will be out there to sign him and the better the chances the steelers have of him signing him. This might be a sign that he doesnt want to stay and will ride it out until the Steelers pull the tag and somebody with cap room like the Titans decides to pay for him.

Either way, I want it over so we can free up some cap space to shop a bit more.

I think Bryant Johnson would be a good pick up. Cedric Wilson at this point is not in our plans or is Nate Washington that good but just doesn't produce on the field. Wilson is making to much for a #4 WR. Johnson could battle Washington for the #3 WR job plus give Ben his 6'3" WR with decent speed and young. Starks situation should soon get resolved at least we hope.
