Default Who is the first Steeler you remember..

... and how or why do you remember.

Mine was of all players, Glen Edwards #27, he is the reason I always had #27 in every sport that I played, and 27 is still my lucky number. I remember being 5 or six years old and getting his football card. I couldnt beleive that the Steelers had a player named Glenn. I shared a first name with not only my dad, but a Steelers as well. Sounds corny, but as a kid it was cooooooooooool.

Hmmm...probably either Polamalu, Bettis, and Franco. When people say "Steelers" I pretty much visualize everybody on the team. Yeah, I can't think of just one. Polamalu because I'm just a big fan, Bettis because of everything he did for the team, and Franco because of a combo of the previous, and plus he really seems like a nice guy.
Yeah, I don't really have any stories to go with them, yet anyway.

#75

I remember my father and uncle talking about the steelers drafting Joe Greene when I was 9. 4 years later I knew most of the team.

Mean Joe Greene and Lynn Swann. I remember them talking about Lynn Swann being a ballet dancer.

The first one who's number I could remember was Lamberts. He's still my favorite all time Steeler.
