Winning The Toss

Reading a thread over on a Colts forum the subject of the coin toss came up.

Did you all know that at the toss the winner gets to choose whether to kick or receive at the beginning of the game ....but at the the start of the 2nd half the team who lost the original toss gets to choose aswell.

In theory one team could actually end up receiving/ kicking at the beginning of BOTH HALVES!

I must admit I didnt know this rule...I thought it was automatic that you done the opposite at the the beginning of the 3Q that you done at the start of the 1Q.

hmmm. i didnt know that either. i guess its like winning the toss in overtime and electing to kick. this rule sounds almost as bogus as the tuck rule. i wonder if anyone has ever kicked off twice? didnt the saints or 49ers elect to kick the ball to start overtime a year or 2 ago?

shit i didn't know that either, shit madden games need to put that in cause i don't like having the ball first in the second half i like to earn it on defense
