TONY!!!!.....NOOOOOOO!!!!....Dont give me Gil Brandt until the last minute!!!....the longer I dont have to hear...."One of the most interesting things about this player is that his great uncle invented the platic tips that go on the end of shoelaces"....or "I was amazed to see that he showed up on draft day wearing a mustard colored suit and blue leather shoes"......the better!!

Yeah...I love me some gil....just dont care for the fashion critique or the trivia....(I'm pretty sure at some point in his rant this week...he will mention that "Chris Gardocki never had a punt blocked")...thats true...by the way.

now where else would you learn that devin hester's great grandfather (who was a peanut farmer) had a dog named "Skippy" after which the famous peanut butter brand was named.

he just wants to make sure teams are fully informed about who they draft "is what it is".

either that, or he is off his rocker and has WAY too much time on his hands "is what it amounts to".

Swede is too high in the top 20, and Hardy is too high in the top 30. He's got an awful lot of DL in the top 10, too, doesn't he? Those are just the things that jump right out at me.

for what its worth, gil brandt loves tony hills and watched him alot this year at texas saying that later in his career there he really started coming into his own, pretty much stonewalling some good pass rush.

kirwan and ryan like the pick too, and feel we got a future starter.

im inclined to believe some non biassed professional's opinion over some messageboard ramblings...

and LLT, we learn that hills had a pet turtle name "peppi" as a 6 year old.

Looks like he was pretty right on. I still think Sweed was too high, but hopefully he knows something I don't (and th Steelers do!)
