Question - first 300Lb Steeler
Its the off-season so my football brain wanders about various Steeler items not related to the upcoming season necessarily.
Players are so big these days when compared to players of the past which got me wondering who was the first Steeler Player to be listed at 300lbs on the active roster. I would guess this would have been in the early 80's sometime, but thats just a guess. Anyone have any idea who the first Steelsr at plus 300lb was ?? Much appreciated as always..... Looks like it was Ben Lawrence (who?) - an OG on the '87 roster: Steelers Rosters by Year
NT Gerald Williams just missed the "cut" at 293. Gabe Rivera was also listed at 293 in '83. Of course, the Bus was listed at 255 in '05 as well (yeah, right), so who knows? |
