at not letting a QB throw the ball? After that dismal performace a few weeks back, The first drive that Tommy came in on last nite there were ZERO pass plays; except for the El TD pass to Hines. But it appeared to us in the box and to many of the fans that the Steelers were not gonna let Tommy throw the ball until he could get some time under center and start getting his confidence back

Yes it was almost embarassing! I felt bad for him. He must be frustrated with , the playing calling, with himself, and with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but you can`t blame Cowher!

its a real
for Tommy..but ur right cleve, u cant blame the coaches for being leary of letting Tommy throw the ball again. Even if we were up in a big way.. a couple bad plays could turn the tide so you have to be careful.I felt bad for Tommy too, but hey he sucked it up for the team so credit him for that. |

I just know this guy cant be this bad. Can he? Its like he forgot how to throw the ball. His follow threw looks terrible, I think its his mechanics! And mind!

Tommy is like a hockey goalie that let through 4 soft goals within the first few minutes and then suddenly can't remember how to goal tend.
He looks the exact same, he's the Eeyore of the NFL, head down, shoulders slumped, the most defeated player I've seen on any team ever. How can you possibly play at that level when you have a guy like Hines Ward is lining up with you. He needs to shake himself out of this funk. He's played badly, yes, but he can't possibly be this bad. He has played well in the past, he just needs to get his head back into the game. |

You could tell there was no confidence in Tommy's passing game at all. I will be weary, but open-minded to Maddox playing against the Ravens. I think the biggest thing against Jacksonville was he wasn't seeing the field well at all. He was throwing into 2, 3, and 4 man coverage. Then what was weird in the press conference he didn't think he had a bad game. (Still puzzled by that) If Tommy plays and starts throwing into heavy coverage then he needs to be pulled.

I said earlier, he looked terrified to go into that game. Didn't help that his first attempt was picked off. I gotta believe he will turn it around. Especially if the Bungles win next week, Tommy has to play well, or it could be curtains for him on this team.

Tommy's just horrible. I hope we can trade him for a 7th round pick or something, so that we don't just release him...

I'm sure there was a collective "Oh No" along with other choice words that came out of the mouths of Steeler fans everywhere when it was found out that Batch broke his hand and that Maddox was taking over in the second half.
Thank goodness we had a respectable lead going into the third quarter. |
