Default Surprise, Surprise

Even the Hawks' Mike Bibby can see Boston fans for what they are....

Quote:
Mike Bibby thought the Celtics’ crowd was loud in the playoff opener. He should get an even bigger earful in Game 2 after slamming the fans.

Bibby called Boston’s backers “fair weather” fans who jumped on the “bandwagon” when the Celtics grew from one of the NBA’s worst teams last season into the one with the best record in the league this season.

I wouldn’t say it’s the smartest comment,” Kevin Garnett said Tuesday.
Bibby calls out bandwagon Bostonians

Maybe not, KG, but it sure as hell is accurate.

Yeah, not the smartest comment, but it happens to be true.

If there has been a team Boston fans have truly cared about, it's the Red Sox. Boston is and always will be a baseball town.

The Patriots didn't exist until 2000, The Bruins didn't exist in forever, and the Celtics became irrelevant once Bird left.

You're dealing with people who collectively are dumber than a can of corn. Smart is not a word in the Baaaaaaahstan dictionary.

Well come on now, be fair, the Bruins fans are pretty loyal, and the Celtics fans are finally getting to cheer for a good product after years of dominating turned into years of mediocrity. Celtics in the 80s were like the Steelers of the 70s. And after a decade or more of not getting it done, they finally have something to cheer for again.

The Bruins haven't had a good product in a while, but I wouldn't call their fans bandwagon. Captials fans, yeah, but not the Bruins.

as a proud bostoinian I can personally attest that this town is a RED SOX town but the fans of the sox' s can be fairweather fans but they have a loyal core. now the Bruin's are the team with the most die hard fans in town, they/we are loyal to a fault and might be a small group but we are loyal to the team . not sure why but we are
