OK guys. Enough is enough. If you want to tear each other to shreds, knock yourselves out, but do it elsewhere. It seems that every freakin' thread that the two of you are involved in is polluted with the same old shit.

Why don't the two of you exchange email addys and put a cyber-whuppin on each other?

It stops and it stops now. If you just can't help yourselves, put each other on ignore.

If I have to address this BS one more time in any thread, the whoopee cushion is coming out.

Please guys - stop cluttering the forums up with redundant nonsense.

I still say, looking at all the arguements in this post, and the fights, that Al Gore is still a Hypocrite. Not only for his lack of conserving his own energy usage, but also because he has a carbon credit company that makes money off the global warming issue.

In 100 years, people will still be on the earth unless some Dawn of the Dead or Super Meteor or Nuclear War scenario wipes us out. I don't think a rise in temperature, if its even really happening which the Scientific community does not agree on, is going to kill us off. We adapt as people, its what we do. Its how humans were able to leave the African Continent and migrate to other parts of the world.

People live in Alaska and its freaking cold there a lot. People live in Desserts and that's just hot man, real hot. So as a people, we are capable of adapting and continuing on our life cycle. It'll take something much worse than a raise in the temperature, or even a drop in it, to "wipe us out".

Alien invasion could do it though, or maybe a Captain Trips style bug ala The Stand by Stephen King.

But warmer temperature? or colder temperature. I don't see it.

So don't raise my fcking taxes, don't make me pay more for stuff, just because some people think that Global warming is a crisis. It ain't my crisis. Its the fcking Chinese, Indians, Africans that have ZERO standards. South Americans don't have the type of waste disposal we do. We in the US have the highest eco-standards, the highest waste management standards on the planet. Don't tax me with your Keoto crap that makes China not responsible. Why do I have to lead the way, its real easy people, its been said since I was a kid. Ready for it.

Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute.

and

Only you can prevent Forest Fires.

I don't need Al Gore telling me shiiiiiit. Fck him, and screw that entire movement. Go plant a tree, smoke a bowl and feel good about yourself.

Which it isn't, at least not in any way differently than it ALWAYS has.

Quote:
Leading scientists, including some senior IPCC representatives, acknowledge that today's computer models cannot predict climate. Consistent with this, and despite computer projections of temperature rises, there has been no net global warming since 1998. That the current temperature plateau follows a late 20th-century period of warming is consistent with the continuation today of natural multi-decadal or millennial climate cycling....In stark contrast to the often repeated assertion that the science of climate change is "settled," significant new peer-reviewed research has cast even more doubt on the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused global warming....The current UN focus on "fighting climate change," as illustrated in the Nov. 27 UN Development Programme's Human Development Report, is distracting governments from adapting to the threat of inevitable natural climate changes, whatever forms they may take.
Open Letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations

But I guess I'll simply have to accept Gore's assertion that we'll all be under water by 2100 over the following "crackpots" that were signatories to the letter the above excerpt was taken from:

Remind me where Mr. Gore got his doctorate in environmental/climatological science from again?

I happen to know that Dr. Spencer Wells is not only a sceptic of global warming...but happens to be the one dentist out of ten who thinks that chewing dentyne in between meals does NOT prevent tooth decay.
