Cool Our trip to the Clowns game

My wife and I were at the sunday nite game against the Clowns. What an awesome time. We had suite level suites, got the see our beloved Black n Gold kick the clowns ass on national TV. We met some awesome people who were in the suite w/ us, and just generally had a blast. We stopped in at prosdo's parents bar, the Coop, on our way up and they allowed us to hang out for a while, toss back a couple beers and just chat. Prosdo was tending bar when we got there and made us feel welcome, as did her mom who was also working that day. They really took care of us, and it was great to meet her. If you get a chance, stop by and say Hi to her and check out the place.

My wife was up in NY all day on saturday so that was a 4 hour bus ride up and back for that day trip, then she comes home, and we get up and head out to Pittsburgh sunday morning, about a 3.5 hour drive. So she's exhausted but a trooper nonetheless. So we get to the stadium and we;re doind different events at the Steelers experience. Thread the nut, FG kick, etc. She actually made 3-4 FG 's !!! She was awesome, and definately showed me up

Then we enter via the suite enterance B, and are greeted by everybody basically wanting to wait on us hand and foot. Like we were royalty. It was really amazing. Addressing us Sir/ Mam, offering the help us carry our things, show us the way personally,etc..and that was before we even got to the room. Very pleasant experience.

Then we get there, and DAMN! !!! If you've never been to a suite at Heinz Field, its amazing. You have 2 of your very own servers to get you ANYTHING you could want to eat or drink. The suite, as you'll see in the pics below has it's own kitchen and fridge stocked full of munchies, veggie trays, nachos, beer, soda, water, juice...and then they bring out hot food like wings, pizza, HUGE burgers w/ all the fixins, chips, pop corn, chicken strips, you name it, it was there or they would get it for you. Everyone got a free game day program, and all the seats in the room were leather, and the windows of course opened up so you could get the whole experience of the game, we had our own restroom and coat closet, and we had access to the club level where there was a full bar, pool tables, TV, souveniers, food, etc. , filled w/ nothing but lazy boy recliners, games, TV's, and plush carpet, attended elevators, and everything.

What an awesome experience, something we have never got to do before. We're used to the general admission seats so this was an experience. My wife and I were laughing though; saying we felt outta place up in the suites. But everyone was so nice made us feel as though we were the only ones they were going to take care of for the day.

Anywho, we ate and drank till our hearts and stomachs were content, and screamed and cheered for the Steelers just like we do in stadium seats. We did miss being down w/ everyone like usual and really getting the whole game experience, but for 1 day, it was nice to see how those that get to be in the suites on a regular basis; get to live it up

Very jealous. I am a fan but I dont or will not spend money to pay the over paid athletes. By all means I am there if someone floats me the duckets. Looks like you had a good time. Congrats.

Yeah we definately lived it up and took in all that the suite section had to offer. We joked on the way home too about feeling outta place again..but its an experience we'll never forget. But there is something to be said for sitting in general admission and being w/ the Steeler fans doing it right ; that way too.

Not sure if we'll ever get the chance to see a game w/ suite tickets again..but either way it was the STeelers and thats all that mattered :D

One year I was given some very good tickets. I think they were club level. The seats were outside but we had to pass a club door. Once inside we had the option of anything out in the lobby area or sit at our seats. The wife liked the heated bathroom and the gourmet pizza (which was pretty damn good), but there was definitely a very poor feeling of the people around you being into the game. I really could not believe how many people were sitting 30 feet away from their seats and in the lobby sitting on couches watching the game on tv. That logic really baffled me.

Last year I got tickets for the playoff game againsts the Jets. 8th row, 35 yard line behind the Jets bench. That was almost a surreal experience.

Congraluations on the pleasant experience.
