I have to agree with Gary here. Though he may still have a little gas left in his tank, we really don't need him, imho. I have all of the faith in the world in the guys we presently have, including Anthony Smith, in whom I have all the faith in the world. That kid is going to be one helluva good football player.
![]() Lynch would be an excellent role model for our young players (and particularly Smith), but at the age of (almost) 37, I don't see the Steelers taking a chance on him.

Lynch is an in-the-box safety, and that's why he left Denver.
Denver was gonna only put him in on likely running plays, an d that's why he's upset and decided to leave. He feels like he's an every down safety. |

I think he'd be great for depth and certain game situations. He may be old but the man brings the lumber like no one else!! Put him on one side and Smith on the other...WRs would have to be nervous about which one was going to knock out their gold teef!

If Lynch comes in and supplants Ryan Clark, I would expect Tony Hills to become the starting LT and after that, the end of the world as we know it.

Look, if the guy isn't happy with the role he is given on the team he is currently under contract with and then "retires" to then "un-retire" just to try and find another team, that means he isn't opposed to upsetting the apple cart. The guy is past his prime, for sure, which is likely the reason Denver isn't trying to trade him away, why wouldn't they just dump him for a future pick if he really wasn't that happy? Because his value is crap because he's lost 2 steps. Go ahead and retire Lynch. You had a very nice career but your time is over. I don't want this guy in our locker room, I'd rather go fight the battle with the troops we have an not worry about an inserection if this guy finds he's unable with his role in the Dick L Defense come October.

Sure, we need more defensive backs. We've only got about 20 of them already.
