But with teams like OSU and Georgia, the guy waiting in the wings may actually be BETTER. Look at MLB progression for the Buckeyes. Who was going to replace Matt Wilhelm at MLB from the '02 NC team? The heir apparent was Mike D'Andrea (and I still think he would have been a monster had he stayed healthy), and he got injured, which opened up things for AJ Hawk, who went on to win the Butkus.

But how were they ever going to top that?

i don't think that GEO choked this game away.. it does seem that the tide is back and is a reckon to be forced with
