Default Ben injured?

It appears that Ben injured his groin. I heard them talking about it on XM radio and found a link on KDKA.com

Steelers Cautious As Ben Deals With Injury
Roethlisberger & Woodley have been sidelined by sore groins
LATROBE (KDKA/AP) ― The Pittsburgh Steelers have finished an injury-filled opening week of training camp, but they were back to work at St. Vincent College today after last night's practice under the lights at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley have both been sidelined with sore groins.

Woodley sat out the second of the team's two practices, while Roethlisberger took part in some 7-on-7 passing drills but skipped the rest of the two-hour workout.

Coach Mike Tomlin's word of the day: Precautionary.

"Ben Roethlisberger with a sore groin that I mentioned last night after, wasn't able to finish. He could be characterized as day-to-day as well. Everyone else is status quo," said Tomlin. "Seven-on-seven was it for him, we knew he was going to be a little sore coming out, he wanted to give it a go, did as much as he could do, we exercised a little caution."

When asked if he was worried Roethlisberger's injury might last past a couple of days, much like those of several other key starters, Tomlin replied, "No."

Still, the sideline was lined with starters at various times all week.

They include safety Troy Polamalu, punter Daniel Sepulveda, guard Chris Kemoeatu, linebacker James Farrior, Roethlisberger and Woodley.

Next Friday, the Steelers are set to go head-to-head against the Philadelphia Eagles in their first pre-season game of the year.

Yeah, what is up with that? Groin and hamstrings are pains in the neck. They tend to linger too. :( Norv Turner said at the Pro Bowl that Ben was supposed to play longer but his groin became tight. Hmm.

Ben is fine according to one of the beat writers who goes to every practice and watched him practice.

Yeah, groin and hamstring injuries worry me too. One minute your star player is jogging off the field with what looks like maybe a minor muscle pull ... then before you know it, he's turned into Duce Staley.

I guess those kinds of injuries are kind of like a strained rotator cuff for a pitcher. You never can tell exactly how it's going to turn out, but definitely has the potential for concern.

That would suck if it's true. But hopefully he's all right, & get us the 6th one this year.
