Having an office job, I can post during the day while sending emails and running spreadsheets. The wife is a stay at home mom and we home school our kids. She does her schooling at night when I get home. So it's all day for both of us! lol

yeah, office jobs are nice like that. but since i have a baby's momma who is fat and lazy and does nothing more than polish the pole (and im not talking about strippers pole) i had plenty of time during the child rearing years to pad my "stats".

i think the specualtion is, even if batch were lost for the year, there are viable options.

If Batch is gone for the year, that's a different story.

But he won't be.

Plus, I keep hearing how Dixon was drafted ONLY to play QB. Well, if that's the case, and since he is now a professional NFL QB, is it too much to ask that he actually PLAY QB? Especially if we need him to.

in weeks 1-4 of his rookie year? yes, thats too much to ask.

but he was drafted to eventually relace batch, not immediately replace ben (assuming worst case scenario such as appendecitis or something off the wall like that).

but i am a homer, and if push came to shove i think we could find ways to win with him. then again we witnessed the miracle season of ben put in the same situation.

Ive got in late and missed everything. I just downloaded the NFL.com gamebook and it listed Anthony Smith as not playing.

Is there any word on why he didnt play?? Could he have been benched for his hit on Hines?

Not pleased to read abouth Batch.

I thought Dennis Dixon did a good job of scrambling and getting away from pressure.
That one eagle could have had 5 sacks last night because he was constantly putting pressure on Dixon and making Tony Hills look silly. Hills has A LOT to work on.
Who was impressed with what Willie Parker showed??? I know I was. Although I thought the starting DL was completely pushed around against the Eagles starting Offense.

The one sack that Twiggy took...it looked like he had happy feet. There was some pressure, but he ran forward into (and beyond) the protection of his pocket.

His scrambling is likely to be as much an asset as it is a boon in the early going. But only if he sees real game action, not just preseason games.
