Default '08 Olympics opening ceremonies

simply amazing. very hard to watch the steelers game with this going on. from an artistic point of view its some of the most awe inspiring things ive ever seen people do,

even more amazing is these people do this for 3 cents an hour.

seriously, i cant believe some of this stuff i am seeing.

Definitely why to own a HDTV

The 2008 synchronized drummers (that's the numbers, not the year) that went with the glowing red drumsticks when the lights were turned off were amazing and in some ways kind of terrifying

Could have done without the 1936 Games Memorial goosestepping Chinese troops carrying the Chinese flag on the field

Phelps just "cruised" in on the swim preliminaries for the 400M IM and still broke the old olympic record. That guy is a freak of nature in the pool.

those drums were so futuristic and surreal, it was hard to decipher what you were really looking at (was it an ancient animal skin drum or a futuristic computer screen?) at or to figure out the technology behind. costas noted that in a way it was "intimidating". every once in a while you would see someones lighted dum blink off cue or not at all. we were joking how that person would undoubtedly be executed tomorrow.

my favorite "act" might have been the grid of men inside what looked to be silver painted refrigerator boxex, who rhythmically moved up and down like rectangular pistons.

the stuff was undescribable. it had to be seen to be appreciated.

and the fireworks show? you woulda thought the chinese invented them!

i wish i woulda recorded it.

I wonder if he chugs a few beers before his heats...just to keep it close.
