Default Eagles sold their soul to the devil.

I have no sympathy for the Eagles organization. They sold their soul to the devil when they picked up TO last year. They gambled with their future for a quick fix and short term gain. Everyone could see what a detriment to SF Owens was; they surely realized that he would never be a team player, and it was only a matter of time before his actions started tearing the team apart.

Well, the short gain they gambled for didn't work out (Super Bowl loss), and the future sure crawled up on them pretty quickly. That team is in a downward spiral, and it really isn't TO's fault, it's the fault of the Eagles organization for allowing that guy in their locker room in the first place. Good for them.

Here we go.

Looking at TO's history before they brought him in they knew he was trouble. They took a gamble and lost big time!

Does anyone out there know anything about how this could affect the NFL's no guaranteed contract stance?
Is it possible that T.O. could appeal Bloch's ruling and, if so, could it change the way contracts are handled in the league?
Man, I hope not. Just look around the other leagues (MLB, NHL, NBA) and some of the garbage performances those organizations get from some of their players. Great example: Chicago Bulls and malcontent Tim Thomas.
Guy doesn't even sit on the bench with the team anymore and demands to be traded.
Hopefully T.O. doesn't turn out to be some sort of football Curt Flood.

Yes and No

I agree you get what you pay. You were totally right saying that " They knew he was trouble" Butthey were in the NFC championship game over and over. I think he did give them a bigtime deep threat, and a spark. I hate T.O. but his passion on the field does flow over to the rest of the team. Look at the guy he is not a team player, but does anyone work harder at playing the game, and being in shape for the game? Wouldnt you think that tis would carry over to his team mates? He help get them to the big game, they lost, yes but they he did help get them there.

This guy is terrible for his team, the league, and as a role model. But his is a player. And a jerk.

You know what the worst the part about T.O. is? He's so skilled, so dedicated, so athletically freakish, and owns a personality that can be so infectious (in a good way) and yet he pisses it all away.
"Who can make a play?!? I can!!" Classic NFL Films material. He could have owned Philly. Or San Fran. Or Baltimore. Or wherever he goes next. But he won't because he hates quarterbacks and he'll never feel wanted.
I'm no psychologist, but man this guy could use some time on a couch.

All I know is this team is better on the field w/ TO and a healthy mcnabb. Now they have neither and are going nowhere fast. The players want TO back becuz they know they have ZERO offense now without 2 of their 3 best players on offense no there anymore. and Westbrook might as well not be there cuz they never use them

Its a divided team now and it doesnt look good.
