'Split End' and 'Flanker' are terms for wide receivers

You know, this finally made me go and look up the difference between the two, which had been bugging me for years.

Apparently, Split End is used to describe a receiver that lines up on the weak side of the offense, usually up at the line of scrimmage and on the opposite side from the tight end. The Flanker is on the strong side, usually back from the line a couple steps and more like a slot receiver.

I'd heard the difference explained once, but that was when I was like 12. So I've really learned something today. Knowledge is power -- yeah!

I think you're thinking of the term "Wanker" cause only Brits and Aussies play rugby....
