Default Bubble players- Keyaron Fox and others

welcome to the steelers mr. fox!

his play on special teams has been great. he is usually one of the 1sts down field and he is a special teams enforcer, much like james harrison was (and is for the defense). he's tuff and seems to have a mean streak. dont take no bs from anyone. he is a steeler. i think humpal can make it on the practice squad w/o being snatched up.

#37- i was hoping this was the versatile lewis but it was anthony madison. you could tell he was fighting for a job on saturday. pretty sound on special teams and was one of the 1st ones down to make a tackle. he may be nothing more than a career special teamer though. lewis can probably stick on the practice squad, and be a fine call-up if a safety or cb go down during the season.

dallas baker and willie reid- reid has potential to ba a wr in the league. i dont think anyone would steal baker off the practice squad in his 2nd year.

mundy- with his injury i think its a longshot anyone would snag him offa practice squad. while many thought carter or anthony smith were hanging by a thread, im pretty sure they are not only safe, but much too valuable to piss into the wind.

drummond- im not even sure why he is here. we will be just as good w/o him. as a positional player, there is nobody he will supplant. i think he is gone.

dixon is a no brainer. steelers will have 3 qb's.

carey davis has shown nothing (where has he been on st's?) and i have no idea who our 3rd TE will be (although i assume it will be someone with enough position flexibility to play FB in a pinch).

gary russell hasnt shown much vs. 2nd and 3rd stringers. i'd hate to see it, but wouldnt be suprised if he was cut to see someone more productive on special teams make it. parker, mewelde, and mendenhall all have potential to be #1 backs. i still dont know if russell does.

pick a punter. i dont think it matters much. as a 1 year fill in, i say it it berger. but has he ever had a punt blocked?

arnold harrisson- will get a job with the bengals as soon as hes cut. he isnt great but is an experienced backup who has learned from the best. i think he sticks, with humpal, waiting on the practice squad.

i dont really consider keyaron fox or carey davis bubble players. fox was signed during free agency to stay and davis is our starting fullback.

IMO, moore isn't worth dressing on gameday. i am sure they can use mendenhall as the 3rd down back.

bruce davis and hills should be practice squad players, but it probably won't happen.

carey davis, baker, reid and drummond are expendable. i feel latsko could do davis' job or a TE.

Fox is awesome on special teams. Willie Reid made a nice case to stay Saturday night. He was impressive at the WR position.

Mewelde Moore will be returning punts. He's the best punt returner on this team. He's one of the best 3rd Down backs in the league and if they don't dress him, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. Moore is a very underrated player...

Carey Davis stays...this offense is so much better with a FB in it...

I agree on all of these points, but the way I see it .....Billy Latsko showed he is a better FB than Davis in this past game.

Tony Hills might not make the 53 man roster. I'm thinking that the 4 reserves kept on the O line will be Starks, Essex, Mahan, Stapleton. Stapleton had a nice pull around the left side on that run where Mendenhall tightroped the sideline.

Fox makes the team, somebody has to tackle on ST. Moore isn't going anywhere as he's one of Tomlins pet FA picks. Hills has to stay for me to maintain sanity (How can we possibly cut the only OL we drafted?)

Drummond is all but gone, maybe he and Reid can share a cab. I never liked Davis, maybe he can squeeze into the trunk.

his has the highest average for punt return in the history of the vikings. that doesnt say much for his competition on the steelers but what competition does he really have on the steelers?

as much as i wanna see santonio back there, i really dont wanna see him getting nailed 2-3 times a game.
