Unhappy Richard Wright, founding member of Pink Floyd, dies at 65

Link

I'm stunned. I didn't even know he was sick. But apparently God decided He needed a keyboardist up there in the Great Gig in the Sky. RIP, Rick. Say hi to the other greats for us.

oh man, this drags me down...seriously...I had no idea he was sick and have been dreaming about a possible Floyd Tour (Don't care if Waters is with the band) with Gilmore, Mason and Wright. Division Bell is one of the greatest albums ever made and Momentary Lap was good but the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour with Wright Mason and Gilmore is still one of the greatest Floyd Tours of all time.

Dino, I agree. I would have been happy with just a one-off full-length concert. But I could listen to him and Gilmour for hours, as well as him by himself on the organ or piano. They sounded great together, and Wright was one of the greatest keyboardists of all time. What makes me sad, though, is that he had had an album in the works, an instrumental one. It probably would have been phenomenal.
