Default Things that bother me....revisited.

Have to resurrect this old list as I have so many new ones!!!

1) People talking on cell phones while driving....poorly driving. They sell these cool little wireless headsets for your car at Best Buy, folks!

2) Pretty much the entire driving population of Michigan which sucks.

3) People who don't say thank you when you hold open a door for them

4) political correctness

5) People who are stupid enough to allow themselves to get offended by words

6) Al Sharpton

7) Al Franken

8) People who don't train their dogs (ie. jump all over you when you visit them, don't know how to heel)

9) These same people who then try to tell me I am "cruel" for trying to train my dog to sit or heel.

10) PETA for lacking reason and logic

11) That "church" that protests at soldiers funerals

12) I can buy a Miller Lite at a local bar for $1.25 but it costs $4.50 at a restaurant across the street.

13) People who think we are in Iraq only for oil.

14) College student protesters.

15) People who still write checks at the grocery store. Get in the fast lane, Grandma, the bingo game is about to roll! Debit cards are a wonderful advancement that saves time and cuts down on lines. Why write an obsolete check? And, why wait till YOU ARE IN LINE to START writing it??!!! And don't give me the BS about it being more secure...you have your address, phone number, checking account#, routing number and sometimes your drivers license number written on it!

16) The people at a casino Blackjack table that feel the need to tell you how to play, without being asked for help. I mean, Jesus lady, you're at a $5 table and I am having fun with my buddies and gambling. IF you are that worried about seriously trying to play with your welfare check, then go to a high stakes table or go get a job!!

17) On that note, Slot machines...what a waste of time.

18) The UAW

19) One uppers. You know, tell a story and this person always has a better one "if you think that's good, listen to this!"

20) People who join conversations in the middle and then proceed to take them over

21) The better it tastes, usually the more unhealthy it is. What the f*ck??!

22) Alcohol and cigarettes kill more people then anything else in this country yet both are legal. Marijuana, not linked to any fatalities is illegal. WTF?

23) Yinzers...you know, moronic Pittsburgh fans who seem to be perpetually drunk and retarded yet get on the radio and TV airwaves and unknowingly represent the city. (Usually these people call the Mark Madden show and get berated)

24) Guys from the hood who spend more on their rims then they do for their car. I can't tell you how many rusted out jalopies I see with crazy spinner rims in Detroit. People have weird priorities.

25) Some in the media talking about ILLEGAL immigrants as if they have constitutional rights. WTF? I am not against immigration, jackass media guy, I am against ILLEGAL immigration.

26) The Madden football video games still have shitty presentation values. Why aren't they using the ESPN license?????

27) People who are always on a diet but never lose weight or are getting fatter. You have to exercise too, jackass!

28) My wife moves things like my work badge and eye drops to places I would never think to look for them...then forgets she moved them. (love you honey! )

29) The obesity problem in this country. For those that say mind your own business, I say "Hey...my health care costs aren't outrageous for nothing!"

30) The two party system and partisan politics.

31) Politicians, for that matter.

32) Actors who think they know everything and don't have a high school or college education yet a media platform to voice their views. **cough** Spicoli **cough**

33) The builder of my subdivision...for hiring cheap Hispanic labor instead of hiring local contractors. Especially with the Michigan economy and lots of local folks looking for work.

34) People who schedule meetings at 8:00am or earlier...or between noon and 1:00pm. Can I at least get my coffee, please? (I work in Dilbertland)

35) People who say "We" when referring to their sports teams. Listen, I know your a fan and all, but it's "They"! Unless you collect a paycheck from the team in question, you shouldn't say "we" when referring to the team.

36) People in Detroit who say "Fords" instead of "Ford". As in "You work over at Fords?" and I always respond "Yes, I work at FORD."

37) Overly proud parents who think they have the smartest toddlers.

38) This generation of parents goes out of it's way to teach every child that they are unique and special. Isn't this setting up some kids for disappointment? I mean, once we get older we know that's not the case. I am your average "Joe" and I am quite content with that.

39) Why are some people so against sports teams, school grades and declaring winners and losers in competition? What are we teaching our kids? Losing is sometimes a part of life and teaches you to be a better winner. Come on parents!!!!!

--------------- NEW FOR 2008!

40) Uh, WalMart customers. Wow, take a shower and maybe wash your clothes every now and then, lady.

41) People who drive around a shopping center parking lot looking the perfect spot when I parked at the rear of the lot and walked inside before they found a spot. LAZY!!

42) People who drive 10 miles to save 5 cents a gallon.

43) Text messaging while driving

44) Bridezillas. Hey lady, I know it's an important day for you, and all. But don't make everyone else's life miserable in the process. No one but you gives a shit about the color of the napkins anyway.

45) Work politics.

46) Affirmative Action and the reparations debate

47) Best Buy charging $100 for a cable I can get for $5 online.

48) All the stupid people who took on mortgages they couldn't afford and the people who sold them to them. You are the reason the market tanked.

49) Linday Lohan. Girl, you are smoking hot! I'll give you that. But nobody cares about the political views of a dysfunctional, cocain-addicted skank, really...just stop.

ah...hell, I could go on but I digress.

Default Re: Things that bother me....revisited.

My list:

1. People who consider race to be the only criteria for minority status. (Hi, chick with cerebral palsy here!)

2. People who ask me if my condition is contagious and/or call me retarded. I'm a grad student, thanks. Way to be a jagoff in front of your kid. And no, CP isn't contagious.

3. People who tell me I'm going to Hell even though I'm a Christian, because I don't read their version of God's word. And no, the Bible wasn't written in English! The KJV movement is full of idiots. BTW, UB is most definitely not a Godless campus, thanks.

4. People who think I've never seen a doctor in my life just because I believe in God and what He can do (I was given 48 hours to live when I was born, ok? That was in 1984). Yeah, I've been to more doctors and been through more surgical procedures in the last 24 years than most people go through in a lifetime. So bugger off.

4a. Doctors where I'm from suck. I almost died when I was 12, because they screwed up my shunt-tube extension surgery. And then more recently, I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel over X-mas break. They didn't even look. I did the wrong exercises for 7 months, and the pain got worse. Thanks, guys. Really. NOT.

5. People who tell me I either don't look disabled so I'm not or that I'm too young to be disabled.

...plus many things on Hammer's list. Namely, drivers everywhere are bad, not just in Michigan. No one in Buffalo knows what a turn signal is, for one thing. PETA? Yeah, they're insane. Just like religious fundies like the ones I mention in #3. And my dad totally does #42.

Wow! My nephew (9) is going through much of what you've been through (he was born after only 4 1/2 months gestation and has CP). Doctors recently just screwed up his shunt replacement (previously diagnosed it as not being a failing shunt with minimal checking.)

I'm sure as he get's older, he'll run into similar scenario. Bless you and your lifestyle. Just remember, not every human is an idiot...just 99% of them.

Hey, my kid is the smartest and she's going to be one of those children that teaches other children how to be "good" losers!!! I'm sure eventually someone will come along to teach her the same lesson and I wait for the day so I can teach her how to be a good sport and that losing is part of life.

People in FL don't know how to drive. Yellow lights mean speed up and Red lights mean step on it for 5 more seconds.

And my favorite (at least at this moment in my life) - Companies that hire overpriced Presidents and CEOs that implement some new program into a business that was fine and then determine that people in a foreign country can do my job better. F-OFF you greedy bastages!!!

People who bring their baby to the movie theater, people who drive while talking on cellphones, illegal Mexican immigrants, George W. Bush, businesses that move jobs overseas and still get tax breaks, my tax dollars being wasted in Iraq, the suburban sprawl hell that Columbus has become, arrogant Clown fans who think I should like their team because they are in the same state, Jehovah's Witnesses showing up at my door at 7am on a Saturday morning, religious extremists who try to force their way of life on me, people who think freedom of religion only applies to them, telemarketers, not having power for 3 days and missing the Steelers-Browns game.

I hate it when people try to be so helpful they try to do my shopping for me. Sales people can be aggravating enough but I don't need them at a neighborhood garage sale. As in, "Lady, just go sit down & be quiet, I don't care about your used towels, if I did, I'd be asking about them."
And annoying sales people at the Mall or what have you... No, you can't help me, so leave me alone & don't follow me through the store, thanks. Just go away & let me look in peace, I'll decide for myself what I want to wear.

Slow moving tractors that take up the whole road. (Did I mention its harvest time.)
A spilled potato in the middle of the road that cause's a traffic jam.
A bank on all three corners and a tractor dealer on the fourth.

And PROLLY.
