Default How about some luv for the D line.

Yes they got a bit winded in the second half, but short-handed they really dug in last night. I mean Woodley, Farrioir and Harrison don't make the plays they made down the stretch if the peieced together D'line doesn't do its job against a pretty big o'line of the Ravens.

Yep, the D-line held up well against a VERY physical O-line that can grind most teams into submission. Kirschke especially appeared solid at the point of attack, holding his ground and allowing others to make the plays. Without Hampton, we didn't get quite as much penetration, but we certainly weren't getting blown off the line like we were toward the end of last year.

Jax will be another big test for them on sunday....hopefully Hampton will be back after the bye

The Ravens were able to get some push and open holes for the RB's. I am in no way thinking that they would have done that with Keisel and Hampton in there.

They played admirably, but in the 4th quarter when the Ravens marched down to tie the game, I was begging to see Orpheus Roye in there, because Hoke and Kirshke were getting pushed around and not collapsing the pocket.

they were definitely wearing down a bit in the 4th quarter, but considering who we played, how few bodies they have in the rotation, and how often the offense failed to give them some much needed rest, I think they did pretty well.

Definately, they played very well to their capabilities.

I'm just saying the Ravens got what looked like some good runs thru open holes that the Steelers were unable to do on the Ravens D. I hope Hamp is back after the bye, that should help a lot.

Besides Hoke, no credit here. Pass russ was hit and miss, plus we gave up key running plays. I'm not at all at ease with our make shift D-line.

Not to say they didnt play their hearts out, but skill is a factor.

I thought that all the D played a graet game, without them last night we would have been killed

The D always has my love.

They played to win.......and this time the offense contributed just enough to make it happen.

We still have plenty to be concerned about but supposedly this was the best D in the league we went up against. We got the win but it came with a huge cost.

The D line played with only 5 players dressed and being able to play into overtime and remain strong is a god send.

They played lights out last night and everyone subbing in or the starters did a heck of a job giving the offense the confidence to go out there and win the game!
