I don't think Bama should be #2, they beat an over ranked, over hyped Georgia team. I'd have LSU #2 as defending champs and Alabma at 4 behind Texas. But it'll work itself out that way. Texas/OU/MO will all beat up on each other and only one will remain unbeaten if even that. Just the same as the SEC beats itself up. And this would all be irrelevant if the mighty beavers didn't "shock" the world on Thursday, but they did. I'm a little suprised PSU didn't sneak into the top 5 but we'll see what happens with them as the season moves along. Wisky missed a great chance laying a duck this weekend, otherwise they'd be in the top 5.

PSU at #6! That is cool. I believe that Ohio State will somehow find a way to creep back into the National title picture now that Beanie is back. I also see that ECU finally came back down to earth and fell off the map.

I don't have a real problem with any of these rankings since it's so early, but I did notice that OSU won a Big Ten game against a resurgent program in the midst of all these upsets and somehow managed to DROP a spot.

That USC loss will haunt them for awhile...

Yeah. Theyre gonna pay for every slipup this year for all of those NC foul ups the last few.

I'd have LSU #1 as of right now since they're the defending national champs and they haven't lost yet. I'd have Alabama right where they are at #2. Bama destroyed Clemson at a neutral site when Clemson was #9 and then Bama went into Sanford Stadium on a Blackout night and embarrassed the preseason #1 team.

OU and Missouri look good right now, but they haven't played anybody worth a cuss. Texas might be the best in the Big XII.

I'd love to see Alabama and Penn State for the national title, but it's way too early to start thinking about that.

PSU has the best chance of that match-up now. OSU is the real hurdle between them and the NCG. Bama has a long hard road against them. The Big 12 will probably all canibalize each other and beat each other up in conference play.
