Fun Stats as of 10/07/08
THE GOOD
Total Defensive ranking: #2 (Baltimore is #1...but yep...we beat 'em) Rushing Defense: #2 66.8 ypg Passing Defense: #5 164.8 ypg Total Sacks: #1 18 sacks (tied with Eagles) Individual Sacks: Harrison: #2 with 6.5 Woodley: #4 with 5.5 (#1 has 7 sacks..only .5 more than Harrison) Recieving TD's: Ward: 4 (3 players have 5 TD's and 4 players have 4 TD's) QB Rating: Roethlisberger: #9 at 95.7% (only two other QB's in the top 10 have thrown fewer INT's) TO ratio: #4 (thats 4th best in the league at +3) THE BAD Total Offense: #27 (YIKES...based on total yards per game) Rush offense: #20 (Willie...we need ya buddy!!) Pass offense: #22 (We gotta get this up also...we may not be a passing team..but wow.) Offensive Penalties: #9 (so far...33 penalties at 294 yards) Defensive Penalties: #4 (so far... 38 penalties at 331 yards) |

We have to get that total offense number up a wee bit, I think the return of Willie will help out immensly and the emergence (be it one game) will help out alot.
The penalty thing worries me a tad. I know we had some BS calls against the Jags (see Harrison), but alot have been deserved. Seem to be getting alot more false starts, but noticed alot happen in the no huddle, so hopefully that will right itself. Besides that, happy with the record, have to find something to do Sunday!

I think after the Jags game and the game showed we do have a threat offense and the ranking will only go up from there. The only reason were ranked 27th is due to the 2 the eagles game and Ravens game.

best stat....
4-1 record no worries about the offense, we have seen them play and they haven't been that bad. and that defense always helps the offense. they have their back penalties are too high though.... |

Need to get that offense up there, should be in the top ten. But with that O-line its easier said than done.
Plus they need to cut back on the penalties.

I think playing Phily and Baltimore's good defences as well as playing in a tropical storm in Cleveland have had a very negative effect on our stats.
