congrats to mike singletary. (i think he was mentioned once or twice as a replacement for cowher).

im happy we got tomlin, but happy to see singletary finally get his shot.

i wonder which team nolan and billick will be coaching next year? perhaps join rev marv with the bungs?

I love Singletary. Too bad he had to inherit such a sucky team, but hopefully he'll turn it around to respectability.

I heard that on MNF countdown too... tho they said he "will" be fired after next weeks game, win or lose...

I find that kinda strange.. knowing you are going to be out... I mean how hard is he gonna work this week... think of all the pens he can steal from the office supply cabinet in the meantime!

I, too, am delighted for Mike Singletary. Unfortunately, however, the Niners aren't chock full of offensive talent other than Gore, so it may be a long season for him. I hope the Niners big cheeses give him a couple of years to rebuild - I think he has what it takes to turn that team around with a little help from the draft and FA.

Good for Singletary. The have a great defense full of talent and with guys like Gore, Bruce, Bryant Johnson, Staley, Simms, Rachal the start of a good core on O.

They just need a QB and to realize that Vernon Davis is probably a draft day bust.

Seattle already has his replacement after this year. Holmgren, and his fat whining arese, unfortunately, aren't going anywhere until after the season is done for them.
