Default Probowlers?

I know it's early to speculate, I thought that given how messed up this season has been thus far it might be fun to take look at some of the guys who might be in the Probowl. Here's my ballot so far:

AFC:

QB: Ben Roethlisberger, Jay Cutler, Phillip Rivers
RB: Chris Johnson, Marshawn Lynch, Ronnie Brown
WR: T.J. Houshmanzadeh, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne
FB: Le'Ron McClain
TE: Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates
C: Jeff Saturday, Samson Satele
G: Derek Dockery, Alan Faneca, Logan Mankins
T: Joe Thomas, Marcus McNeill, Jake Long

DE: Aaron Smith, Kyle VandenBosch, Mario Williams
DT: Albert Haynesworth, Shaun Rogers, Jammal Williams
OLB: James Harrison, LaMarr Woodley, Terrell Suggs
ILB: Paul Posluszney, DeMeco Ryans
CB: Nnamdi Asomugha, Champ Bailey, Quentin Jammer
SS: Troy Polamalu
FS: Ed Reed

K: Matt Prater
P: Shane Lechler
KR: Roscoe Parrish
ST: no clue . . .

NFC:

QB: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Donovon McNabb
RB: Marion Barber, Clinton Portis, Matt Forte (yeah, that's right)
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Roddy White, Greg Jennings
FB: Madison Hedgeprofanityfilterprofanityfilterprofanityfilter profanityfilter
TE: Jason Witten, Chris Cooley
C: Olin Kreutz, Matt Birk
G: Steve Hutchinson, Pete Kendall, Chris Snee
T: Flozell Adams, Walter Jones, Mark Tauscher

DE: Jared Allen, Justin Tuck, Matthias Kiwanuka
DT: Tommie Harris, Kevin Williams, Pat Williams
OLB: Lance Briggs, A.J. Hawk, DeMarcus Ware
ILB: Lofa Tatupu, Patrick Willis
CB: Roderick Hood, Asante Samuel, Charles Woodson
SS: Adrian Wilson
FS: LaRon Landry

K: Matt Bryant
P: no clue . . .
KR: Reggie Bush
ST: Dunno

Thoughts?

Jeff Reed should be the AFC kicker and Hines Ward one of the WR's.

Randy Moss - on name only, I presume, because outside of the Denver game, he ain't done jack this year. That's the biggest problem with the Pro Bowl - it's a popularity contest decided by the fans.

Randy Moss kinda depends on whether Matt Cassel steps up a bit. There's no question (at least in my mind) that talent-wise Moss is there, but if Cassel can't throw non-checkdown passes on teams with actual defenses then I say Brandon Marshall is next in line.

And yea, Jeff could be the AFC kicker. I honestly didn't think about kickers too much, I just chose Prater because he's played well this year.

All I got to say is that a one Brett Farve better NOT be put in the Pro Bowl. Like Fansince76 said, it is a popularity contest, I do think players and coaches vote too, no?

i think it's funny how madison hedgec0ck's name is filtered...

but on a serious note maybe sean morey gets the nod for the NFC ST player... i'd say his blocked punt is what basically started a downward spiral of the cowboys and rise of the cards..

i wouldn't mind him also because he is an ex-steeler

you forgot Brett Favre...he is in a NY market now.

Also, don't forget about the great Carson Palmer...
