He's stuck on the bench as of now. Ryan Clark has been playing a pretty high level this year.

Ryan Clark is just an overall better coverage FS than Smith, sure Smith can hit, but obviously when Smith played last season he got burned on several plays deep and the Steeler won't tolerate that.

I was at Smiths first satart back i 06 against the Browns and the dude played trememdously. He has really falling off under Tomlin.

His greatest hit was in that pre-season game his rookie year when he knocked out that dude on kick coverage. He hit him so hard the helmet went over Smith's eyes.

he was one of the few high lights in Syracuse football ... hope he will be in on more plays soon , he is young so could be nice to have him fresh and undamaged in a few yrs ( smarter too )
