Default Remember last year...

When it's usually the Defense or the Special Teams to make a critical breakdown to make the Steelers Lose a game?

So why are things a little different this year? Why is it the Offense is either awesome or very bad? Like in Philly, Parts of the Ravens game, and Yesterday? Five turnovers? Another safety? -4 yards in the 4th quarter?

It seems the Steelers Offense is do or die. Either very bad or very good. I'm not blaming anyone or calling it quits, but this is a alarming trend.

Poor OL, bad penalties, poor play-calling at times. That's pretty much been the problem this season when the O has struggled. I really think that they need to put the offense more on Ben's shoulders. He's one of our best players on offense (contrary to, ahem, "public opinion") and has shown that he is very effective when he is given the keys to the car. More no-huddle, up-tempo offense with him taking charge is when he is at his best. I think if they did that more often, the O would be more consistent. Just MHO.

Injuries!!!!!!!!! Parker not playing is big. Normally the Steelers can run time by moving the ball on the ground. With Parker out the Steelers pass to open the run up. Moore is a great addition to the team but not the runner Parker is.

It also seems like our offense has no rythm at times. I do agree, give Ben the keys to car and we will do better. The crew I was watching the game with yesterday made the comment that in some games our O has no identity and/or they become predictable.

Right now, I don't think the O has a real identity. One week they're passing a lot, next week they run more, etc. I don't know if that's the injuries, the problems on the OL, the playcalling, or all of the above. At this point, you may as well let Ben take charge - if he's the franchise, then let's sink or swim with him.

I think yesterday the reason we lost...

We gave Eli too much time. He kept moving the team but for 3 quarters just failed to put up points except FG's...really the Steelers were dominated. Outside a couple BIG plays on O and a potential third TD called back by Colon's holding, the Steelers struggled on that end as well.

I feel injuries and jsut bad OL play is to blame for the recent lack of offense.
The Ol gives ben fits and with no coverage its tough for Ben to look for open receivers.

Injuries are plaqing the team right now, and the Steelers will overcome them, but still we need everyone healthy.
