Nothing is technically wrong other then the fact that it has changed very little in the last 5 years.

That happens when you buy out the competition and don't have to worry about raising the bar...just release a roster update and add a "new feature" (that was available back in '05 on the first Xbox) to the 360 and call it a day.

So you think a good football game is one where:

a) A running back is able to run over people without slowing down or altering his path AT ALL

b) A defensive back will leap 8 feet into the air and swat a ball down that he wasn't even looking at

c) A defensive back will jump up to make a play on the ball, miss, and have the magical ability to make the tackle in midair

d) Defensive linemen are able to shed blocks without any trouble whatsoever. It is like all the teams in the NFL have the Steelers line

I could go on like this for ages. I have owned every Madden since around 2000 and there has been a steady downhill trend in the gameplay. They have focused more on the blades of grass and what you want to sell hotdogs for at your stadium then remembering that this actually should look, feel, and play like a game of football.

This isn't football, this is crap. If the blind fanboys would take notice of this and make themselves heard, or stop buying this crap, EA would be forced to make a decent product. Right now, with no competition, they can squeak by if they just throw out any old crap with Madden(insert year here) on the cover.

If there was only one car company make one car, do you think it would be any good?

idk bout u but when i do happen to run ppl over.. my path is altered and i am slowed down...

rly 8 feet?? stop being stupid and u can tell that the jumping abilty is legit

if the db goes up for the ball and happens to contact the wr.. that would be considered a hit

and there are times in the nfl where d-line can shed blocks real easy...

if the db goes up for the ball and happens to contact the wr.. that would be considered a hit wrong...that would be "contact" , but you wouldn't be laying anyone out. Without your feet planted on the ground you have very little power and strength. Again, thanks for playing

and there are times in the nfl where d-line can shed blocks real easy...Yes, at times, but not every play. Unless you are playing on rookie your RB will be contacted in the backfield/in the hole on every single play

after playing Madden 09 i made that decision not to play.

Sadly there are too many blind followers of the game and people will lineup outside the stores to pick up there copy at midnight.

i gotta agree with both sides on this pointless agruement, it seems that madden has gotten worse over the past few games, and their is really no reason to bitch about it. Just dont buy it next year, im not. some of the points black and gold said i have noticed in the game. jus about every play the DL is in my backfield, i brushed it off thinking dam this is realistic (i was playing as the steelers). i had a DL intercept a pass i was trying to throw 20 yards down the field and i LOBBED it.

oh well, i played it a few days thought it was crapped, took it to gamestop and got the full price back.
